What are the best home based treatments for hemorrhoids?
It would be nice to sit down without having an assache. Any suggestions?
It’s called a sitz bath. Put enough water in the tub just to cover the bottom of your legs and sit in the warm water. If it starts to cool drain in and put more warm water in. 20-30 minutes several times a week. pat dry. If you need something for “friction” use petroleum jelly.
What is the difference between a hemorrhoid and a polyp?
Size, color, shape…one worse? Can you show me a legitimate picture to distinguish the two?
You can see Hemmorhoids as they usually hang from the rectum and sometimes they are inside the lower bowel
A polyp is usually found on the walls inthe bowel, so not visibly seen unless a colonoscopy is performed.
Polyps are usually removed if found as they may be the begining of bowel cancer ….hemmorhoids are a painful condition because when a bowel action is commenced it will scrape the lining of the hemmorhoid causing it to bleed.
Polyps would be worse even though you have no symptoms…..hemmorhoids are painful but can be removed surgically.
I use to have a lil lump on my butt i knew it was a hemorrhoid but i didn’t think anything about it. Well it popped. it is completely deflated now so i know it popped. when i try and go to the bathroom i get severe pain to mild sometimes, threess almost always blood, anywhere from a tiny drop, to a LOT. Is there any way i can heal this or just get it to not hurt without having to have surgery?
alot of the time hemorrhoids are inside the anal canal, so even though one has gone there may still be more inside. you can get lots of different hemorrhoid treatments in chemists. you should still see you doctor though, drink plenty of water and keep your motions soft.
how painful is hemorrhoid surgery and how long before the inflamation gose away?
I just got it done exactly 16 days ago. Hemorrhoid surgery is the most intense surgery you can have. The intense crazy pain is really insane. The inflamation took me about 2 weeks to go down. It will probably would take another week to go away. If I had a choice to ever get it done again, I would rather die. I hope nobody would have to go through the pain I went through. This surgery is really really really painful…. :’(

I had IBS, now I have a hemorrhoid, got a lump ” in there ” for a few days now, I was given a cream just today but should I be concerned if I left blood stains where I sat ? Is it becoming serious ? This is my first time having such a disease, I’m anxious.
The bleeding won’t stop, I changed my underwear twice now.
Did you have a rectal exam when you were given the cream? It’s normal for hemorrhoids to bleed a bit, but if it becomes prolapsed or strangulated, then you need more urgent help. Don’t worry about a little bleeding, but if the pain becomes very severe or the bleeding gets really bad, seek help at an urgent care center or ER.

I’m sorry, this is embarrassing. I’m scared of getting hemorrhoids or rectal prolapse or something from pushing too hard when trying to poop. So, how hard is too hard to push?
So pretty much anytime you have to push kind of hard you should just take a laxative? Or should you fight through it and then eat fiber and drink water to prevent it from happening again?
You know it’s too hard when you have to hold your breath and strain really hard. Or if your face turns red or your stomach starts to hurt OR the next day your abdominal muscles are sore from pushing too hard. You most likely will pop a vein resulting in a hemorrhoid
