Antibiotics for piles? ( haemorrhoids)?

DO i have to take antibiotics for piles? i’m using preparation H and do the sitz bath.

You do not need antibiotics for piles.

You would only need antibiotics for an active infection so unless you are having fever, chills, pus draining from said piles … do not take antibiotics *over use of anitbiotics weakens your immune system*

If your current treatment is not working use anusol HC instead … it is generally considered much more effective.

To prevent piles in the future try increasing the water and fiber in your diet. Try to avoid overly straining to have a poop (stool softeners could help and are available over the counter).
