hemorrhoids during period
My child has rectal bleeding only during her period, what should I do and what is it thats causing it?
My 14 year old child is having rectal bleeding only during her periods and I think she is getting a hemorrhoid because she has been feeling pain. What should I do? What is it thats causing it?
She sometimes gets random dizziness and rarely, her ovary hurts, but its always usually when her period is near. Can she be having Endometriosis?
Are you absolutely sure that it’s her rectum bleeding and not just some blood making it’s way down to her rectal area? I’m not doubting you, but I want you to be sure.
If she is experiencing rectal pain and bleeding, she may have a hemorrhoid. Is she constipated? Women can become more constipated during their periods, and constipation is one of the main causes of hemorrhoids. She might try drinking more water, adding a little more fiber to her diet, and getting plenty of exercise. These will ease her PMS symptoms, too.
Have her buy some witch hazel pads (or just some witch hazel in a bottle and some gauze). Use those pads to wipe after a bowel movement, and you can leave them in the rectum for a little bit for some relief. Preparation H does not work, in my experience, so if you buy a cream, buy something like Nupercanal or Tucks. They have pain relievers in them that can be really soothing.
If it continues, I would get her to a doctor.
