Haemorrhoids. Anyone had them removed?

Just tried to ‘rubber band’ them myself and made them considerably worse. Just too embarrassed to go to doctor.

The ligation procedure (banding) is very painful for several days afterwards but it does get rid of the painful boggers!

Just had rubber band ligation for hemorrhoids…?

I had it a few hours ago, im in so much pain, I took 2 panadols, it still hurts, infact I just feel like I want to take a massive poo but i cant, ive tried 3 times already, nothing comes out, I feel like I cant sleep until I go, what kind of home made laxatives can I make quickly to go? Im in so much pain please help!

if you can get to the shop – look in your supermarket for herbalax – its usually in the health food – (MAKE sure you stick to the correct dosage!) aisle, or try prunes/prune juice, licorice, dried fruit such as apricots, grapes, figs – really effective!, pears,perhaps try to avoid dairy foods? i have heard that they can not be good when one is trying to go no 2. hopefully you have some of these items available to you.
drink LOTS of water.
try having a warm bath also if you can – it should relax the muscles in that area.. or even use a hot water bottle..
try to avoid going to the toilet and putting strain on that area if you can
