What are the best home based treatments for hemorrhoids?
It would be nice to sit down without having an assache. Any suggestions?
It’s called a sitz bath. Put enough water in the tub just to cover the bottom of your legs and sit in the warm water. If it starts to cool drain in and put more warm water in. 20-30 minutes several times a week. pat dry. If you need something for “friction” use petroleum jelly.
What is the difference between a hemorrhoid and a polyp?
Size, color, shape…one worse? Can you show me a legitimate picture to distinguish the two?
You can see Hemmorhoids as they usually hang from the rectum and sometimes they are inside the lower bowel
A polyp is usually found on the walls inthe bowel, so not visibly seen unless a colonoscopy is performed.
Polyps are usually removed if found as they may be the begining of bowel cancer ….hemmorhoids are a painful condition because when a bowel action is commenced it will scrape the lining of the hemmorhoid causing it to bleed.
Polyps would be worse even though you have no symptoms…..hemmorhoids are painful but can be removed surgically.
I have a 2″ midas cichlid, and it appears as though his anus has inverted. It has turned itself out of the body about 1 cm, and the poop comes out of that. He isn’t looking good now, almost swimming sideways and trying to hide out, I’ve never seen this, what should I do?
It sounds like a prolapsed rectum. Unfortunately, there’s not really anything you can do to remedy the situation. I’d suggest adding a bit of salt (about a tablespoon per 10 gallons) solely to help prevent infection (it will stimulate the fish’s immune system). You’ll also want to separate it from any other fish, as it will be vulnerable as long as its insides are out. There’s a chance it will resolve itself, but more likely, you’ll have trouble down the line.

Can Preparation H cure hemorrhoid or just for relieve symptoms?
Using a topical creme(Prep H) is not a long term answer to get rid of hemorrhoids, but it will provide temporary relief and shrink the hemorrhoid. If you are looking to cure the hemorrhoid, I suggest visiting, http://curebleedinghemorrhoids.com and checking out the all natural cure. I used this after struggling with hemorrhoids for over a year and having surgery recommended to me. I have been hemorrhoid free and using an all natural treatment was much better than the pain and discomfort I would have faced with surgery. There is also a mini course that will teach you about hemorrhoids and their root cause.

Can I make my hemorrhoids worse by doing normal every day stuff even tho it hurts?
HI Emma
Here are some ideas to heal the issue. Drink a gallon of water a day (I do) to start moving out excess waste (colon) and toxins that are in the blood. Also, be sure to do a colon cleanse to help resolve the issue.
Cause
Hemorrhoids are often the result of poor diet, constipation or a sluggish bowel, straining during bowel movements, chronic low-level dehydration, lack of exercise, and/or a sedentary lifestyle. Correcting these factors can be very helpful in preventing and eliminating hemorrhoids.
Caution: Bleeding during bowel movements needs to be checked to rule out other more serious conditions. If you experience blood in your stool, seek immediate medical attention.

Natural Cures
Aromatherapy: Cypress, juniper, frankincense, or niaouli.
Ayurveda: Drink 1/2 cup of aloe vera juice three times daily until symptoms clear. The Ayurvedic herbal compound triphala is also very effective for relieving hemorrhoid pain and for promoting the overall health of the gastrointestinal tract.
Diet: Eat an organic, whole foods diet that emphasizes high-fiber foods, plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables (especially dark green, leafy vegetables, such as kale), grains such as brown rice and millet, and lean, organic meats and poultry. Also drink plenty of healthy beverages, such as herbal teas, fresh squeezed juice, and pure, filtered water.
Flower Essences: Rescue Remedy Cream® can be applied to external hemorrhoids to ease symptoms.
Herbs: The aptly named herb pilewort is a staple treatment for hemorrhoids in Europe because of its effectiveness in reducing hemorrhoid symptoms. Collinsonia is another highly effective herbal remedy for hemorrhoids. As a topical application, mix 10 ml of collinsonia tincture with 80 ml of distilled witch hazel and apply this combination after every bowel motion and as needed. Other useful herbs include bilberry, buckthorn bark, butcher`s broom, comfrey root, gotu kola, parsley, passionflower, and stone root.
Homeopathy: Aloe, Hamamelis, Nux vom., Berberis, Acidum fluor., and Thuja are helpful homeopathic remedies.
Juice Therapy: The following juice combinations can help keep the bowels regular and soften stools: carrot, spinach, celery, and parsley; carrot and watercress; or beet juice.
Nutritional Supplementation: The following nutrients can help prevent and reverse hemorrhoids: vitamin C with bioflavonoids and rutin, vitamin A, beta carotene, vitamin B complex, folic acid, essential fatty acids, magnesium, potassium, and zinc. Linseed oil (one teaspoon upon arising and at night) can also be used to help soften stools.
Topical Treatment: Apply a combination of zinc oxide, vitamin E, and aloe vera gel or olive oil to the affected area. Witch hazel applied topically can help shrink hemorrhoids, while calendula ointment can help relieve pain and itching.
You can treat hemorrhoids without surgery when you take away “everything” that causes pressure on the blood vesselss that supply the muscles around the anus:
-most commonly: change your lifestyle to make sure you have loose stools in stead of diarrhea like J M or constipation that caused my hemorrhoids
-go toilet when you feel the urge and don’t keep it up:stoolss will only become harder and you will use more pressure toexpell them
-never strain yourself on the toilet
-lose weight if you are overweight
-don’t take medication that cause bleeding (Aspirine) to ease the pain.
im a young female and for a while now i have had a flesh colored bump that looks like its in my anus and comes out..its soft and doesnt really cause me discomfort besides every once in a while it gets itchy and and sometimes burny. i looked up pictures of hemorrhoids and it didnt look like that. those all seem to be red and really obnoxious looking. mine is just flesh colored, and i wouldnt even know it was there besides for a lil bit i did have random bleeding after stool it was very light and has stopped now. that was about a month ago. anyone that can help me me it would be much appreciated!
Thanks
i also meant to add that its not just a round bump or something…if i grab it i could pull on it and move it but can tell its obviously attached.
Yea its a hemorrhoid. I got the same thing a 3 days ago for the first time. Its almost gone.
I bought some wipes(active ingredient: witch hazel ) for whenever I had to go ,
a cooling ointment ( active ingredients: phenylephrine and witch hazel) to apply after wiping or showers
I used baby powder around the hemmie and i frequently put a warm cloth on it.
I also did pelvic exercises every time i remembered to do them because it helps with the circulation of blood in that area.
I avoided caffeine and ate fiber foods. Last but not least, I drank lots and lots of liquids.
If you want to get rid of it asap do all these constantly!
Don’t let it become a serious problem .

Have i got a anal fissure or hemorrhoids? serious answers please :/?
well the past two days, its been painful to go to the toilet like a sharp pain, and there would be bright red blood on the toilet paper, i researched it and its the symptoms for both an anal fissure and hemorrhoids. Today though there’s no more blood when i go to the toilet but it is still painful during and afterwards, is whatever i have disappearing? or do i have something else?
it’s worrying me as there symptoms for colon cancer too, i’m only 15.
Hi – this is likely to be an anal fissure. It’s very common, although it will take a week or more to clear up properly.
The best way to tell if you have haemorrhoids or a fissure is to actually LOOK at your anus using a well-positioned mirror (perhaps squatting over one). Push outwards as though you were doing a poo, and you should see the rich red walls of the rectum looking like 3 plump pads. If you can see any purple lumps or bumps, those are haemorrhoids. If you can see a tiny little split (and they are usually tiny), you have an anal fissure. The fissure may bleed a little bit as you look at it.
The fissure will heal up on its own, given time. The haemorrhoids (if they are not well-advanced) will also improve on their own. However, in BOTH cases you are going to need to step up your roughage intake and also increase the amount of water you are drinking. Drink a glass of warm boiled water first thing in the morning and last thing at night. This helps tremendously.
If it is haemorrhoids, you should have a feeling that your anus is protruding slightly after you have a poo; it’s a pretty uncomfortable and unmistakable feeling really.
Good luck.
