I want serious answers please. I want to know how many hemorrhoids a person can possibly have. Is there a limit, or can someone have a 100 hemorrhoids? Can 100 hemorrhoids fit in the anus region?
Hello,
This IS a serious answer. There is no actual number of hemmorhoids that can fit into the anal region. Hemmorhoids can be both external (visible on your anus) or internal (visible only with a colonoscopy or palpable by an internal exam). So, since there are hundreds or thousands of veins in the anal/rectal area, there can be as many hemmorhoids. I hope this helps.

Help Me!! My mother has a serious, serious case of internal hemorrhoids?
She doesn’t want to do surgery. She bleeds a lot, whenever she uses the restroom (literally bleeds from the backside). She’s had this problem for 3 years, and it keeps getting worse. (She also has high blood pressure). She drinks a lot of water, takes Vitamin C, but what else is there? I’m skeptical of all these different cures available online, they all seem like scams. I’m really worried, and I know she is also, but she doesn’t actually care about her health (doesn’t have a doctor). Any advice, home tips, or REAL cures? Thank you so much in advance.
Thank you all so much for your answers. I was surprised when I found this many, and it made me feel better. I’m kind of confused because of the contrasting replies, but I can incorporate them all. Somehow. I think I’ll just continue taking care of her at home, and I guess eventually she’ll have to see a doctor.
She looses about 2 cups a day.
I know the difference between an anal fissure and a hemorrhoid (the definition) but i still can’t tell which one I have. I have 2 of them. And one is on the front part and the other is on the back part of my anus, I don’t know if that helps determine. I have had them for about for like 7 years now and they are very painful. I’m in my late teens and I want to do something about it before it gets even worse. I don’t have much money to go see a doctor at the moment so I would appreciate all the advice I can get. Also, do I need a prescription for an anal/hemorrhoid cream? And the name of the creams would help too. I’m asking a lot but everything helps. Thank you.
Do you have what looks like grapes hanging out of the anus?
If yes then they are haemorrhoid’s.
And anal fissure is hard to detect as it hides in the anal folds and creases.
Any hemorrhoid cream works well and the same. They all have a medication that shrinks the pile and local anesthetic to numb the pain.
Just talk to the Pharmacist will be able to tell you the best one for you.
And NO you don’t need a prescription.
Also increase your fibre and water intake. And get moving more.
hemorrhoids popping out every time i use the bathroom.?
as the title says, every time they pop out. i had 3 or 4 of external ones 2 or 3 months ago and they went away in 2 weeks. now one big one pops out after using the bathroom. i’m able to push it back in and not have it be sticking out. i’m also not straining while in the bathroom. i have researched this but i don’t know why this is happening. any comments and ideas would be helpful
Often once they’ve gotten that big, nothing you’re going to do by yourself is going to help. Go to a proctologist and get it removed. It’s a very simple procedure.
Then, once you’re back, start taking Metamucil capsules each day as instructed on the package.
I noticed swelling around my anus and looked it up online and realized I may have a mild, early case of a hemorrhoid. I have never bled out of my anus, even though that seems to be one of the symptoms, and it never hurts. I was wondering if I could prevent further swelling/ make it go away without having surgery.
Of course it is best to consult your doctor to prevent it from becoming a chronic problem. But hemorrhoids can also be treated using natural remedies. in the treatment of hemorrhoids …. what is used the gel form or the juice from ALOE vera ,,,,
In general, Aloe is Aloe…. either form is going to do the same thing. In most cases, Aloe Vera juice is about the same consistency and strength as watered-down gel.
However, as far as treating Hemorrhoids, I’ve never heard of Aloe being used for that… I’m honest not sure if you would use it externally or internally. In and of itself, Aloe is a very good tissue soother, which makes me think it would be used externally… so the form would really just depend on how you planned to apply it. The gel may be easier to use if you’re going to apply it and let it sit, either would be the same if used in a bath (although the juice wouldn’t have to be mixed into the water), and either would work if you’re soaking a cloth to put on the affected area.
I’d say give both a try and see which way feels better for you. Good luck!
I asked my gyno about a hemorrhoid tag that i’ve had for a year, and she told me that it won’t go away on its own and they only way to get rid of it is surgery. Is this true? It’s not painful, but I do feel self-conscious about it.
There are several different treatment options available for hemorrhoid tags or swellings, and not all of them are surgical.
First, you can try some things yourself – probiotic foods (like yogurt), stool softener (NOT laxative), switch to moist wipes (unscented baby wipes) instead of toilet paper, increase fiber, increase how much water you drink, sitz baths with epsom salts. Avoid using aspirin for a painkiller. If these simple measures don’t help, the next step is to consult a doctor about other options. Don’t use steroid creams or pads/wipes without speaking to your doctor – things like cortisone can weaken the skin and make the hemorrhoid worse.
Infrared coagulation, often mistakenly called “laser” treatment, is a non-surgical procedure. Basically, a doctor inserts a small probe next to the base of the hemorrhoid tissue that is inflamed and infrared light is used to form a clot. The clot cuts bloodflow to the swelling, and it shrinks back down. Advantages are that it is relatively comfortable (performed in-office, no anaesthesia as it is above the pain nerves – you would just feel some pressure) and has very little recovery time or activity limitations. Disadvantages are that it usually requires somewhere between 5 to 10 treatments 3 to 5 weeks apart, and you may or may not see improvement with the first 1 or 2 treatments. It is also more effective in some cases when paired with drug therapy or probiotic use to normalize the gut. It does not work well for people who are on blood thinners.
Rubberband (or Baron) Ligation is slightly more uncomfortable than the infrared coagulation, and about as effective. Advantages are that it generally requires only 1 or 2 treatment sessions, and is more widely available. It works basically by putting a rubber band around the base of the hemorrhoid tissue and waiting for it to fall off. Anaesthesia is sometimes used, but not always.
Hemorrhoidectomy is the surgery your doctor mentioned. It has about a 2 week recovery time, and does require anaesthesia.
